Morena Baccarin is a famous Italian-Brazilian actress and well-known television personality. She is best known for her role as "Inara Serra" in the short-lived sci-fi television series "Firefly". Her sterling performance in the movie "Way Off Broadway" in 2001 was critically acclaimed and brought her an award at the 'Wine Country Film Festival' as the best actress.
Morena was born on January 2, 1979 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her mother Vera Setta is a Brazilian stage and television actress. When Morena Baccarin was ten years old her family migrated to Greenwich Village, New York, United States. Morena Baccarin studied at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts {the High School featured in the movie ‘fame’}. She later entered the theater program at Julliard. Morena made her film debut at the age of 21. She bagged her first movie role in "Perfume" in 2001, which was a fashion world comedy movie. Later "Way Off Broadway" came her way and she proved her mettle as an actress. She also acted in "Roger Dodger" in 2002 and "Serenity" in 2005. |
